Runware builds a platform that helps developers add advanced AI-powered media generation to their projects, without the usual hurdles of GPU management or scaling infrastructure. The team aims to make it easy for developers to embed AI features and push the boundaries of what’s possible in media applications.
The Developer Relations Engineer will serve as Runware’s main connection to the developer community. This role centers on building relationships, sharing knowledge, and creating memorable experiences at events and online. The position is remote, but regular in-person involvement at community activities in the San Francisco Bay Area is expected.
Role overview
As the Developer Relations Engineer, you will represent Runware at meetups, hackathons, conferences, and workshops. The job involves running live demos, leading hands-on sessions, and helping developers understand and use Runware’s API. You will work closely with the DevRel Lead and the Marketing & Events Lead to grow a strong, engaged developer community around Runware’s AI models.
What you will do
- Community & Events Leadership
- Represent Runware at Bay Area and national events, including meetups, hackathons, and workshops.
- Deliver interactive demos, technical talks, and hands-on sessions.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Events Lead to plan and execute community initiatives.
- Write recaps or posts to keep conversations going after events and foster ongoing online engagement.
- Help build and strengthen a local AI developer community focused on Runware’s platform.
- Developer Engagement
- Support developers on Discord, GitHub, X/Twitter, Reddit, and other community channels.
- Guide developers as they integrate Runware’s API, troubleshoot issues, and explore new use cases.
- Collect and share developer feedback with product and engineering teams.
- AI Expertise & Demonstrations
- Develop a deep understanding of Runware’s AI models and their practical applications.
- Provide clear, insightful demonstrations and technical support.
Requirements
- Located in or able to regularly attend in-person events in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Experience engaging with developer communities, both online and at live events.
- Strong understanding of AI models and developer tools.
- Comfortable presenting, running workshops, and writing technical content.
