Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in desktop or IT support. Strong expertise in Windows OS installation and troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools. Good understanding of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

We are in search of a dedicated and customer-centric Desktop Support Engineer specializing in the insurance sector to deliver exceptional technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software. The successful candidate will play a vital role in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring systems, and ensuring seamless IT operations for end-users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver first and second-level technical support for end-users.
  • Assist users with desktop support for Windows, Microsoft Office, email, and other software-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity problems.
  • Provide support for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory.
  • Configure and support email clients, particularly Microsoft Outlook.
  • Assist with collaboration tools, including Microsoft Teams.
  • Install and troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft 365.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate technical teams.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies and security standards.
  • Conduct routine checks on system updates, patches, and backups.
  • Provide support for headquarters and remote branch networking, cabling, telephony, and other IT requirements.
  • Implement, maintain, and support all telephone and related systems within the company.
  • Offer hardware support for desktops and laptops.
