Minimum Qualifications:
4 to 8 years of relevant experience in the design aspects of Solar PV Power Plants, Thermal Power Plants, and Power Distribution Projects.
Objective:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for comprehensive design and detailed engineering within Civil Structural Engineering for PV Solar Power Plants. The Design Engineer will manage the entire design process for projects or a collection of smaller projects, ensuring collaboration with disciplines such as Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical Design Engineers. The role involves leading a team of draftsmen to oversee engineering activities while adhering to budget constraints, delivering projects on time, and upholding high-quality engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely reviews of drawings developed by draftsmen.
- Detail design of Civil and Structural components for Solar Plants, including Module mounting Steel Structures, Buildings, Roads, Drains, Fences/Compound Walls, Grading, and Cable Trenches.
- Prepare and review Pre-bid queries, Detailed Bid Reports (DBR), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and Scope of Work for Proposal and Project Engineering.
- Propose optimization strategies during the Pre-bid and project stages to minimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with specification requirements.
- Review drawings and documentation to ensure adherence to Quality systems and Checklists.
- Evaluate Vendor Offers and Documentation.
- Engage in Pre-Tender Engineering, including estimating Bills of Materials (BOM) and conducting Offer Reviews.
Technical Expertise:
The Design Engineer will execute engineering activities related to civil and structural components, covering control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads, drainage, outdoor steel structures, and various ancillary works associated with Solar Power Plants. The candidate should also be adept at reviewing Vendor engineering documents concerning Civil and Structural design.
