About the Role

As a Design Data Integrity Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the precision, completeness, and compliance of our engineering drawings and models. You will play a critical role as the quality gate for design data, confirming that all work adheres to drafting standards, dimensioning practices, and configuration management requirements prior to release. Your efforts will directly facilitate the production of error-free, manufacturable, and compliant engineering designs.

What You'll Do

  • Review and verify engineering drawings, models, and documentation against company, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14 drafting standards.
  • Identify and document errors, inconsistencies, and missing information within design data.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for corrections and enhancements to design engineers.
  • Validate the accuracy of CAD models and their associated metadata before release.
  • Confirm that drawings accurately reflect design intent while supporting manufacturability and producibility.
  • Collaborate with various design engineering teams across multiple commodity types, ensuring adherence to design standards and configuration management processes.
  • Support drawing release processes within PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia.
  • Coordinate with the Configuration Management team regarding drawing/model issues that may affect change notices or configuration control.
  • Participate in tolerance stack-up and interface checks to ensure fit, form, and function integrity.
  • Contribute to process enhancements that improve drawing quality and release efficiency.
