Qualifications

Genuine passion for helping children with autism. Demonstrated patience, compassion, and teamwork skills. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification, and a Tuberculosis test (if not conducted in the past year). Must pass a pre-employment background check. Physical ability to perform various movements (sitting, squatting, bending, etc.). Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

In this fulfilling role, you will work closely with children, implementing tailored behavior intervention plans under the mentorship of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Your responsibilities will involve utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote communication, social interactions, and essential daily living skills while minimizing challenging behaviors. We provide thorough training, ensuring you feel confident and ready to support each child, regardless of prior experience. Be prepared for a dynamic environment as children can be unpredictable and sometimes confrontational, requiring resilience and physical stamina. You will engage in various physical activities, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, and lifting children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
