Key responsibilities include:Utilizing OEM - Grid Control for comprehensive database monitoring.Managing database backup and recovery processes via Oracle RMAN and TSM/Veritas.Ensuring seamless connectivity through Oracle OID and Oracle clients (ODBC/JDBC).Conducting regular database health checks and housekeeping activities.Performing performance analysis and tuning using tools such as Performance Tuning Pack, TKPROF, EXPLAIN PLAN, and AWR/ADM reports.Providing production support as a dedicated DBA.Administering high availability solutions including RAC and Oracle Data Guard.Possessing a working knowledge of UNIX servers (Redhat, Solaris, AIX) and proficiency in Unix commands, editors, and shell scripting.Demonstrating experience with Oracle versions 9i, 10g, and 11g Enterprise Edition.Engaging in disaster recovery drills and database migrations, upgrades, and patching.Evaluating and recommending database tools based on customer needs.Understanding the incidents/request and change management processes.
