Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Architect to design, implement, and support our data warehousing solutions within a Teradata database environment. This role involves comprehensive responsibilities including database planning, development, administration, and maintenance/ETL of the MDARD data warehouse. The position allows for flexibility in work arrangements, with options for either Webcam or In-Person interactions.
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Teradata physical modeling and indexing techniques is required.
Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will leverage their experience to independently execute a variety of complex tasks, exhibiting a high degree of creativity and autonomy.
- Design, implement, and support data warehousing solutions. Develop business rules through stored procedures and middleware, while defining user interfaces and functional specifications.
- Ensure data accuracy and perform maintenance and support of the data warehouse. Demonstrate knowledge of end-to-end data warehouse implementation processes, including logical modeling, physical database design, ETL, and performance tuning.
- Exhibit strong problem-resolution skills and lead implementation teams. Experience in both relational and dimensional data modeling, as well as the development and maintenance of multi-dimensional models is essential.
- Possess expertise in SQL and database tuning techniques. Responsible for ongoing architecture and design of the data warehouse, data mart, and reporting environments.
- Formulate strategies for flexibility and scalability, defining the future technical architecture direction for business intelligence reporting environments.
- Select appropriate hardware, software, tools, and lifecycle techniques for various components of the data warehouse architecture.
- Document the technical architecture of the data warehouse, ensuring compliance with industry standards and alignment with broader IT strategies.
