What You Will BringA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.2-4 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or applied analytics. Proficient understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning methodologies. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Experience with large datasets and production-ready data pipelines. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail. Capability to convert business and risk challenges into AI-driven solutions. Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in collaborative, cross-functional teams. Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership. Curiosity, proactivity, and a strong desire to learn. Comfortable operating in fast-paced and dynamic work environments.

As a Data Scientist in our AI department within the Data & Risk team, you will play a key role in Data Management and Credit Risk optimization. Your primary responsibilities will include the research and development of advanced AI models and methods, and supporting model-driven initiatives across Optasia’s product offerings. The ideal candidate will excel in fast-paced environments and collaborate closely with Credit Traders, Quantitative Risk Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement statistical and machine learning models to enhance risk management, pricing, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Build and maintain robust models that leverage large-scale datasets to inform core product and risk decisions.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of financial products to optimize model performance and business results.
  • Contribute to the creation of frameworks for model monitoring, validation, and performance assessment.
  • Identify and assess critical model drivers and assumptions using extensive datasets.
  • Work collaboratively with data scientists, quantitative risk experts, and data & machine learning infrastructure engineers within the Data & Risk department.
  • Continuously monitor model performance and support ongoing optimization and recalibration efforts.
