Role Overview

In the rapidly evolving landscape of AI, data has become a pivotal element driving innovation. The most significant breakthroughs in recent times stem from enhanced data rather than just novel architectures.

As a Data Partnerships & Initiatives Lead, your contributions will critically influence our models' capabilities in agentic tool use, long-horizon reasoning, and robust safety alignment. Collaborating with leading researchers, you will devise and implement our data strategy effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of Reflection's research, products, and business trajectory. Partner closely with researchers to translate insights into data requirements and quality benchmarks, subsequently crafting sourcing strategies and pipelines that fulfill these needs.

  • Take ownership of new initiatives and partnerships from inception to completion: assess suppliers, negotiate contracts, and validate deliverables. Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to enhance research efficiency while maintaining data integrity.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the data landscape to identify potential challenges and opportunities that could enhance our competitive advantage. You will need to possess the technical expertise to recognize high-quality training data and the creativity to consistently deliver it.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in business operations, strategy, venture capital, private equity, or consulting. We welcome high-potential candidates with fewer years of experience and an outstanding track record, such as former tech startup founders.

  • Proven experience in managing large, ambiguous challenges from start to finish, capable of translating them into clear, actionable plans.

  • Strong ability to engage with senior leadership, influencing decisions and fostering alignment across diverse teams.

  • A proactive attitude in dynamic, high-pressure environments, showcasing resourcefulness, adaptability, and ideally, a sense of humor.
