About the job
The climate crisis represents the most significant challenge of our era, yet it also opens up vast opportunities for innovation. At Overstory, we leverage advanced technologies to create a robust electrical grid that supports communities in the face of change.
The grid is fundamental to our everyday lives, powering essential services like hospitals, preserving food, and keeping people connected. However, it faces immense pressure from extreme weather, outdated infrastructure, and increasing wildfire threats. This context makes the electric utility sector a critical arena for combating climate change.
A major contributor to devastating wildfires and power outages is vegetation—specifically, trees and brush that come into contact with power lines.
That’s where Overstory steps in. We harness AI and state-of-the-art satellite imagery to identify and prioritize vegetation-related risks before they escalate. By delivering vital analyses to utilities, we aid in preventing outages, mitigating wildfire threats, and facilitating the transition to a safer, more resilient grid.
Our diverse team spans North America and Europe, collaborating with utility partners across the globe. We are a group of outdoor enthusiasts, artists, athletes, and adventurers from 15 different nationalities, united by our passion for solving complex issues and our commitment to climate action, believing that technology can and should serve the greater good.
Join us in our mission to build a more resilient world together.
