Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy comprehensive data pipelines within AWS cloud infrastructure utilizing services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Amazon Redshift. Implement data processing and transformation workflows using Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL to facilitate analytics, reporting, and AI-driven applications. Establish and manage orchestration workflows with Apache Airflow to automate data pipeline execution, scheduling, and monitoring. Assist in data preparation and ingestion for AI/ML and Generative AI workloads, effectively handling both structured and unstructured datasets. Enable data pipelines that support applications based on Large Language Models (LLMs), vector embeddings, and knowledge retrieval systems. Lead the transition of legacy data systems to contemporary cloud-based architectures. Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for data workflows and platform automation. Work alongside data scientists, ML engineers, and AI teams to ensure data accessibility for model training, inference, and Generative AI applications. Optimize data pipelines for peak performance, reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency in accordance with AWS best practices. Required SkillsProven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on AWS cloud services. Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and associated data platform tools. Demonstrated experience in building data pipelines utilizing Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL. Familiarity with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration. In-depth understanding of data modeling, data lake/lakehouse architectures, and ETL/ELT frameworks. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, particularly Git. Exposure to Generative AI or LLM-based applications. Experience in supporting data pipelines for AI/ML workloads. Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
