DC Thomson is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data Science & Analytics Team, with options to work from London, Dundee, or Glasgow. This permanent position follows a hybrid model, requiring one office day every six weeks.

Recent investment in the team supports a growing data-driven culture across the company. The Data Analyst will play a key role in delivering clear and timely insights that guide decisions within DC Thomson’s media, publishing, and genealogy portfolio. The role involves transforming complex datasets into structured reports, dashboards, and analyses, ensuring information is consistent, accurate, and actionable.

The position reports to the Lead Data Analyst and offers exposure to a variety of projects across different brands and internal teams. The successful candidate will mentor colleagues and apply AI tools in their workflow, supporting both operational efficiency and commercial goals. There is scope to contribute to Data Science and Analytics Engineering projects, with opportunities for career growth into senior or management roles. Dedicated days for professional development, including conferences and industry events, are part of the team’s culture.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support daily decision-making.
  • Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and basic modeling to provide reliable inputs for analysis and visualization.
  • Deliver clear, concise ad-hoc analyses in response to business questions within agreed timelines.
  • Conduct quality checks, validate data against sources, and maintain documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
