Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in Information Security or a related technical field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology. Experience with Cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure, is a plus. Familiarity with FedRAMP and other authorization processes, as well as the NIST risk management framework. Proficient in executing and analyzing vulnerability scans using tools like Nessus/Security Center and WebInspect. Experience with Splunk for query execution and data analysis. A proven track record in developing, evaluating, and implementing information security architectures and practices. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Join our dynamic team as a Cybersecurity Systems Analyst located in Herndon, VA, with the flexibility of working remotely for most of the week. This role requires dedication to supporting the FedRAMP and FISMA authorization processes for our Cloud Products and third-party applications in diverse cloud environments. The position includes hands-on security assessment, documentation development (such as System Security Plans and procedures), and continuous monitoring activities.

As a senior-level technical security analyst, you will collaborate with operations and security engineering teams to address security challenges, gather relevant information, and document implementations in the System Security Plan (SSP). Your expertise will also extend to assisting with security assessments and ongoing monitoring of various client environments, including corporate, commercial regulated, FedRAMP, DOD, and international settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, execute, and analyze vulnerability scans to ensure robust security.
  • Interpret and assess network diagrams using tools like Visio.
  • Evaluate the security state of Cloud Systems, identifying vulnerabilities and compliance status against industry standards.
  • Exhibit knowledge of FedRAMP, DOD, and NIST security controls, including vulnerability management.
  • Understand and document information system specifications, including diagrams that depict connectivity and data flow.
  • Collaborate with security engineering and operations teams to gather information and implement security controls.
  • Contribute to developing security documentation that reflects technical control implementations.
  • Assist in preparing for FedRAMP or FISMA authorizations, providing support for engineering and operations teams through training and updates.
  • Effectively address customer concerns regarding Continuous Monitoring activities.
