Join Visa Technology & Operations LLC as a Cybersecurity Engineer in Austin, Texas, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our technology projects. We are seeking motivated professionals to:
- Establish, implement, and uphold robust Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) methodologies and secure-by-design principles across all Visa technology initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments to safeguard Visa products, integrate threat modeling within the SDLC, and assist development teams in mitigating risks.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance security tools such as SAST, DAST, and SCA, ensuring they are effectively integrated into our CI/CD pipeline for seamless, developer-friendly security workflows.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of our internally developed security tools and products, including their creation, security measures, deployment, maintenance, and operational support.
- Execute Security Architecture and Low-Level Application Design reviews with a focus on Data Protection, Authentication, Authorization, and Web Application and API Security.
- Participate in the establishment of security standards for emerging technologies, including assessing AI-generated code and setting parameters for LLM tools.
- Streamline processes to boost software development efficiency and promote the adoption of secure development practices.
- Enhance secure coding methodologies, application security requirements, training, automation, and performance metrics.
- Engage collaboratively across product, engineering, and solution teams to manage software security risk while aligning with business objectives and Visa’s cybersecurity program.
- Effectively communicate risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the application security program and foster continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of the evolving threat landscape, emerging vulnerabilities, and best practices in secure software development and incident response to proactively enhance Visa’s application security posture.
- This position is based in our Austin, Texas office and offers the potential for partial telecommuting.
