Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the onboarding process for new strategic customers, ensuring they quickly understand and adopt Tailscale. Provide training and resources that set customers up for long-term success. Offer technical support for customers, diagnosing and resolving issues across Tailscale's platform. Assist with configuration, integration, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth implementation. Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with customers to assess usage, success metrics, and future objectives. Utilize these interactions to pinpoint opportunities for deeper engagement and expansion. Develop strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor. Help customers optimize their use of Tailscale by identifying best practices and providing tailored recommendations. Serve as the voice of the customer internally, communicating feedback and insights to the product and engineering teams to enhance the product and overall customer experience. Collaborate closely with sales, product, engineering, and support teams to ensure seamless transitions, escalate critical issues, and drive customer success across the organization. Establish and maintain a comprehensive repository of technical documentation, FAQs, and guides to support customer self-service.

Job Description

As a Customer Success Engineer (CSE) at Tailscale, you will serve as a vital link between our technical capabilities and the needs of our most important clients. Your role will involve working closely with customers to guarantee their successful integration of Tailscale’s products, guiding them through the onboarding process, fostering long-term adoption, and offering expert technical assistance throughout their journey. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric approach to empower clients to fully utilize Tailscale's capabilities. You will report directly to the VP of Customer Experience.
