Educational/Experience Requirements:Completion of a two-year radiological technology program from an AMA-approved institution. A minimum of one year of experience as a radiologic technologist, with either one year of CT experience or successful completion of an in-house CT cross-training program. Required Licenses/Certifications:Completion of a two-year accredited program. Current registration in the relevant imaging modality (ARRT or ARDMS). Active license in the State of Maryland. Maintain current license, continuing medical education (CMEs), and participate in relevant educational activities as mandated.

Luminis Health is seeking a CT Technologist I for a PRN position at outpatient locations in Odenton, Annapolis, Bowie, and Lanham, MD. This role performs both standard radiographic and specialized CT procedures, with a strong focus on patient care and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with supervisors to resolve equipment, staffing, and workflow issues, and provide constructive feedback as needed.
  • Perform daily quality assurance checks on CT scanners and emergency equipment, keeping accurate records of all tests.
  • Collect relevant clinical details before exams, oversee patient preparation, and document important information.
  • Manage scheduling and tasks to ensure patients move efficiently through the scanning area.
  • Monitor, store, and route supplies for the CT area; report any shortages promptly.
  • Keep a daily log of activities and maintain the procedures manual, compiling data for monthly reporting.
  • Participate in orientation, on-the-job training, and in-service sessions; demonstrate CT equipment and procedures as needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with the ICARE service excellence framework.
  • Support physicians during emergencies and adverse reactions to contrast materials.
  • Help orient new staff and contribute to in-service training based on performance and development goals.
