Job Overview:
The Critical Facilities Technician (CFT) plays a vital role in the management of data center operations, ensuring the reliability of both critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems. A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence is essential. The CFT will drive improvements by adhering to company standards and industry best practices while engaging in continuous learning. Compliance with training requirements is mandatory to ensure independent operational capability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and operate critical and non-critical data center infrastructure and systems
  • Collaborate with fellow CFTs to achieve total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks
  • Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within data halls
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage all data center tasks
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Assist in developing and executing operational procedures and preventive maintenance inspections
  • Contribute to the creation of Data Center standards and policies as needed
  • Quickly resolve electrical and mechanical issues while effectively communicating with the chain of command
  • Respond to emergencies and critical issues, working both independently and collaboratively as necessary
