The Role:
As a Creature FX Technical Director, you will play a pivotal role in crafting a wide array of dynamic simulations for character-driven projects, encompassing hair, clothing, skin, and muscle, along with post-simulation sculpting and final touches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop simulation rigs for characters and creatures utilizing Maya nCloth, nHair, and both third-party and proprietary tools.
  • Execute shots using simulation rigs and deliver completed assets to the Lighting department.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams in Modelling, Rigging, Animation, Lighting, and Grooming departments.
  • Contribute to the evolution of departmental tools and methodologies.
  • Adhere to project timelines while upholding the highest quality standards.
  • Present work for critique to leads, supervisors, and clients, and implement feedback as necessary.
  • Maintain consistent communication with production and leads regarding project timelines.
  • Stay updated with new tools, software, and technology relevant to the role.
  • Work collaboratively within a team or independently to meet project objectives.
