About the job
HackerRank helps companies like NVIDIA, Amazon, and Microsoft hire and train developers based on skill. Over 2,500 organizations use the platform to build strong engineering teams, focusing on ability rather than background. As technology evolves and AI becomes a key collaborator, HackerRank adapts its approach to identify and nurture tomorrow’s technical talent.
The team values detail, urgency, and high standards, aiming to deliver products clients truly appreciate. Every project is approached with care, knowing that meaningful results come from thoughtful work.
Role overview
The Creative Video Editor (AI Focused) joins HackerRank’s Content Studio in Bangalore. This role leads the post-production process for a wide range of video content, including LinkedIn clips, YouTube tutorials, event recaps, and executive presentations. The editor acts as the creative force behind each project, using AI tools to speed up workflows and raise the quality of in-house video output.
What you will do
- Edit videos in various formats: short social media pieces, long-form YouTube content, event highlights, and product demos, tailoring style and pacing for each platform without needing extra briefs.
- Work from raw footage, rough outlines, or unstructured transcripts, making creative decisions independently.
- Use AI-powered editing tools (such as Runway, Descript, Kapwing, Remotion, or similar) to reduce turnaround times while maintaining high standards.
- Operate in HackerRank’s Bangalore studio, which features professional cameras, virtual production screens, and broadcast-quality audio equipment.
- Deliver edits on the same day when needed, respond quickly to asynchronous feedback, and manage multiple review cycles efficiently.
- Build and maintain a library of reusable templates, motion graphics, and brand-aligned MOGRT assets to streamline production.
- Supervise and mentor external editors when required, ensuring all deliverables meet quality and consistency expectations.
- Work closely with the Studio Production Manager, product teams, and other stakeholders to clarify goals before editing begins.
Who you are
- Approach editing as a form of storytelling and creative expression, not just a technical process.
- Bring fluency in at least one major editing platform (full details not provided in the source).
