The Instructional Designer plays a pivotal role in enhancing LaBella Associates’ Talent Development initiatives by creating, developing, and sustaining top-notch eLearning and enablement solutions that elevate employee skills and align with the company’s strategic objectives.
This hands-on position is ideal for an innovative thinker who quickly adapts to evolving learning trends and technologies. The role involves utilizing various authoring tools to craft engaging, accessible digital learning experiences.
This is an early-career opportunity that requires regular in-office collaboration, necessitating weekly commutes to our Rochester, NY office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Develop eLearning & Enablement Solutions
Utilize the ADDIE model, design thinking, and adult learning principles to create, update, and maintain high-quality eLearning and enablement solutions. Develop a range of modalities such as interactive eLearning modules, videos, instructor-led training materials, facilitator guides, job aids, and performance support tools that meet organizational needs and reflect LaBella’s Core Values while fostering measurable capability growth.
2. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) & Stakeholders
Engage with SMEs, HR, and business leaders to perform needs assessments and gap analyses, define learning objectives, and translate complex information into clear, effective learning experiences. Build strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training solutions aligned with business priorities.
3. Manage eLearning & Enablement Projects
Lead multiple simultaneous eLearning projects, employing agile or waterfall methodologies to plan timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure timely delivery. Oversee project scope, milestones, and risks, proactively addressing issues and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
4. LMS Administration and Content Creation
Serve as an LMS administrator by uploading and organizing content, assigning training, generating reports, and troubleshooting system issues. Maintain accurate course data to ensure a seamless learner experience and enhance training accessibility and engagement.
5. Assess Training Effectiveness
Evaluate the impact of eLearning solutions through data analysis, learner feedback, assessments, and models such as Kirkpatrick to validate knowledge transfer and performance outcomes. Identify trends, suggest improvements, and refine programs for continual enhancement of learning effectiveness and organizational ROI.
