Role overview
This Controls Engineer position is based in Buffalo, NY and focuses on building automation and control systems within critical data center infrastructure. The role is suited for experienced controls technicians looking to move into engineering or early-career controls engineers who want to stay hands-on in the field. The work covers design, programming, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with Central Engineering and Operations to ensure continuous reliability of Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), PLCs, and equipment-level controls in a 24/7 data center setting.
- Support engineering activities such as developing control sequences, commissioning, integrating systems, and preparing documentation.
- Operate BMS front-ends, calibrate field sensors, and program PLCs based on detailed Sequences of Operations.
