Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering. Fluency in English (both written and spoken). 2–3 years of relevant experience in similar roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong understanding of Accounting Standards (GAAP & IFRS) and their practical application. Highly developed analytical skills, results-oriented mindset, along with excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities. Effective and assertive communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to both management and non-financial audiences. Proficient IT skills with a strong grasp of ERP systems.

About the job

As a Controlling Process Expert, you will serve as the primary financial process owner and SAP key user at our San Luis Potosí Plant. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring precise month-end closures, dependable cost reporting, and maintaining robust financial data integrity across all systems. This position integrates operational efficiency with financial governance; your insights and system expertise will be indispensable in supporting strategic decision-making and enhancing the plant’s financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, review, and execute month-end closing processes to guarantee accurate financial postings and optimal system functionality.

  • Perform reconciliation of internal and external general ledger accounts (PCA – COPA).

  • Conduct variance analysis to identify and assess discrepancies between actual and planned results, providing clear explanations of root causes.

  • Monitor and track financial and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

  • Prepare financial projections under various forecast scenarios (CF02, CF05, CF09, CF11), Business Plan (BP), and long-term calculations.

  • Generate detailed, accurate, and reliable financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders.

  • Manage and maintain ERP systems: SAP & Essbase.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of relevant SAP modules in accordance with internal controlling directives (CD) and financial reporting standards (NIFs / IFRS).

  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) initiatives, including automation and implementation of new technologies in daily operations and projects.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements through appropriate follow-up and corrective actions.
