Minimum Requirements:Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Finance, Business, Real Estate, Environmental Science, Climate and Sustainability, or a related discipline, with at least three years of study completed. Candidates who recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to pursue a master’s degree are also eligible. Graduates must have enrolled in their bachelor’s degree program in the most recent academic term and intend to pursue an advanced degree in a related field by the end of the internship. Preferred Qualifications:Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in one of the aforementioned fields. Experience in related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.

The AECOM Advisory Consulting Internship presents an exciting opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain practical experience in a dynamic consulting and advisory environment. This highly sought-after program is designed for those pursuing careers in economic analysis, economic development, real estate, urban planning, public policy, and data science.

Interns will collaborate with peers, junior team members, and senior management to tackle challenges and explore opportunities concerning equitable economic development, real estate development, climate advisory services, and economic diversification among various other core practice areas. Projects may encompass market analysis, funding strategies, adaptive reuse studies, financial feasibility modeling, economic impact assessments, and policy evaluations aimed at addressing economic and demographic disparities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in entry-level assignments aimed at developing professional knowledge and abilities, utilizing standard techniques and procedures.
  • Follow guidance from senior staff to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Exercise limited judgment on work details and methodological adaptations.
  • Collaborate with fellow interns and juniors on data collection, research, and information synthesis to explore opportunities.
