About the Role:

Steer North America is seeking a proactive and innovative Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Planning and Design team. This dynamic group has been instrumental in our continued success across the United States and Canada.

As part of Steer's North American team, you will collaborate with planners, economists, designers, financial modellers, and technical experts to deliver transformative solutions to our diverse clientele.

The Consultant/Senior Consultant will:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to conceptualize, develop, and execute both new and ongoing projects in multimodal planning, regional planning, transportation demand management, and sustainable mobility. Projects may include:
    • Assessing transit needs and prioritizing investments within California’s state highway system
    • Creating a Smart City Strategic Plan for Southern California
    • Developing a Citywide Transportation Demand Management strategy for Culver City
    • Evaluating service options for new Bus Rapid Transit routes in New Jersey
    • Analyzing the economic impact of rail on underserved regions
  • Manage personal workload adhering to budgetary and quality standards while potentially overseeing the work of others
  • Support Steer’s Planning & Design practice through client engagement and proposal development
  • Mentor and provide guidance to early-career professionals
