What We Are Looking For:Minimum of 10 years of experience managing projects within K-12, College, or University sectors. Proven experience with DSA oversight and management of projects. A Professional Degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field such as mechanical or civil engineering, construction technology, interior design, or business administration is preferred. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to draft and finalize subcontract agreements. Willingness to relocate to or reside near Natomas, CA. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore. A collaborative team player committed to exceptional client service. Valid Driver’s License.

Are you ready to elevate your career in construction project management? Essel Environmental is seeking an accomplished Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee mid to large-scale projects across various sectors.

Key Sectors You Will Manage:

  • Colleges and Universities
  • K-12 Construction with DSA Oversight
  • Specialized Projects (OSHPD, etc.)

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Reviewing plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance, while preparing General Conditions and establishing baseline schedules for each subcontractor or self-performing team.
  • Tracking project costs and managing change orders, RFIs, and owner pay applications.
  • Overseeing shop drawings and submittals, drafting subcontracts and purchase orders, and maintaining strong subcontractor relationships through regular jobsite coordination meetings.
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring continuous communication throughout the project lifecycle.
