Qualifications

College diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction site surveillance within urban infrastructure. Proficiency in French, both spoken and written. Strong skills in Microsoft 365, Acrobat Reader, and software applications (Word and Excel), and adept in using iPads within a networked computing environment. Completed training in construction site safety (ASP Construction Card). Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. Certification in municipal infrastructure project management (an asset).

Join our specialized Infrastructure team as a Construction Site Surveillance Technician. In this role, you will primarily focus on inspecting construction sites and ensuring the rehabilitation of municipal infrastructures across a diverse array of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor compliance of ongoing work with plans and specifications, and draft site memos as needed.
  • Conduct necessary measurements, perform quantity calculations, master the item descriptions on billings, and prepare cumulative reports for monthly payment requests.
  • Be proactive in identifying discrepancies between the construction work and the plans, proposing solutions while communicating effectively with the project manager.
  • Coordinate laboratory work and participate in site meetings.
  • Prepare site reports, TQC plans, comment on additional work requests from contractors, and deliver required outputs to clients within deadlines.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards on site and report any hazardous situations.
