Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Proficient in Google Workspace, MS Office 365, MS Project, with a preference for AutoCAD experience. Strong ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively. Enthusiasm for learning and being part of a dynamic, fast-paced team. Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written. Bilingualism in English and French is an asset. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. Punctuality, maturity, and reliability are essential, along with the ability to perform under pressure while delivering outstanding customer service. Willingness to travel to various construction sites, with travel and accommodations covered by Canam if necessary. A valid driver's license is required.

Join Canam as a Construction Site Supervisor, where you'll play a pivotal role in assisting the Field Operations Manager in overseeing a structural steel erection project. Based in Calgary, you will have the opportunity to travel across Western Canada approximately 25 to 30% of the time. Your standard schedule will be Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours each week, with flexible start times based on site requirements. The ideal candidate will be prepared to work overtime as necessary to support the team and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather site data and update the construction schedule utilizing tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, and Google Workspace.
  • Generate daily reports on erection progress and site activities using platforms like Projectsite/AutoDesk and Trimble Connect.
  • Support the Site Superintendent in ensuring quality control standards are met.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and verify delivery slips.
  • Engage in coordination meetings with engineering, detailing, and fabrication teams.
  • Attend on-site coordination meetings with the General Contractor.
  • Assist the steel erector with repair requests and address fieldwork deficiencies.
  • Contribute to health and safety documentation.
  • Schedule the project’s lifecycle using MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
