Required Qualifications:Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a technical/vocational school preferred. A minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience is preferred. Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and customers; must demonstrate a strong customer orientation. Proficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Capability to interpret various forms of instructions including written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats. Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, or Google Workspace, along with other relevant software.

Canam Group Inc. is actively looking for a skilled and dedicated Construction Project Manager to lead our customer projects in White Plains. The ideal candidate will take charge of managing projects through effective collaboration with various internal departments while providing essential information and support to our external clients. You will be responsible for offering operational direction and guidance to all teams involved in the production of joists and structural steel products from the initial sale through to the final contract closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers; coordinate with drafting/engineering, sales, estimating, shipping, and production departments to establish project timelines.
  • Ensure legal compliance by reviewing purchase orders and sales contracts.
  • Verify that project specifications align with the bid scope.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer communications, ensuring that Canam systems are updated with relevant information.
  • Draft correspondence to customers and manage outstanding Requests for Information across departments.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Department to follow up on any codes impacting delivery.
  • Analyze comparison reports, research, and prepare change orders based on verified information; manage collection letters and prepare necessary processing forms.
  • Ensure the timely dispatch of final drawings and necessary calculations.
  • Process back charge forms in coordination with various departments upon receiving claims.
  • Review and document claims, managing issues in collaboration with management for final approval.
  • Provide management with necessary documentation to support claim reviews.
  • Update tracking spreadsheets with all back charges and change orders.
  • Offer continuous improvement suggestions across all departments.
  • Research accounting-related issues as requested by the Accounting Manager.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
