Requirements:Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in utility or linear infrastructure construction. Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex projects successfully. Advanced knowledge of contract management, project controls, and financial performance. Proven leadership experience in guiding and mentoring teams. PMP designation or equivalent is preferred. Strong understanding of commercial strategy, contract design, claims management, and dispute resolution. Familiarity with organizational risk management, insurance, and contractual risk mitigation. Preferred Skills:Experience with transmission, distribution, or substation projects. Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Join our dynamic Transmission team at Valard Construction LP as a Construction Project Manager to oversee a significant project in Southern Ontario.

In this pivotal role, you will report to the Project Director and utilize your extensive experience in utility construction and leadership to enhance project execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction. As a site-based leader, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring adherence to Valard's stringent safety, quality, and operational standards while driving project success.

This position requires regular on-site presence with shift rotations. Travel accommodations, including flights and vehicles, will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee on-site project delivery, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the site Construction leadership team to meet client and company expectations.
  • Manage the project contract, including issuing and overseeing subcontracts.
  • Guide and develop Assistant Project Managers to foster leadership skills and team capability.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Manage risks, changes, and contract administration to safeguard commercial interests.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support strategic growth and repeat business.
  • Coordinate resources and procurement strategies across projects for optimal efficiency.
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practices across all projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide input on bid reviews and constructability assessments to align estimating with execution.
