As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the entire lifecycle of assigned projects—from pre-construction through close-out. You will ensure projects adhere to quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines while fostering collaboration among multiple stakeholders.
- Oversee all aspects of pre-construction, bidding, construction, and project close-out phases.
- Review pre-construction documents and provide constructive feedback to designers.
- Prepare and present project status reports to upper management.
- Coordinate with relevant public agencies and project staff to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring accurate monthly monitoring and reflection of project status.
- Supervise daily contractor activities, review construction schedules, and facilitate responses to contractor inquiries through Requests for Clarifications (RFC).
- Ensure compliance with specifications through careful review of contractor substitution submittals.
- Negotiate Contractor Change Order Proposals to ensure fair pricing in accordance with General Conditions.
- Address schedule impacts promptly and in alignment with project specifications.
- Monitor payment processes for contractors, architects, engineers, and other relevant parties.
- Administer Professional Service Agreements between architects and the district.
- Coordinate the delivery of essential fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
- Oversee project close-out, ensuring compliance with Division of State Architects (DSA) certification and financial closure.
