Requirements:At least 6 months of experience in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems or pipeline construction. Preferred experience working outdoors and traveling for work. Must meet physical requirements, including the ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted, perform hand excavation, and operate tools and machinery under varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Position Overview

As a Laborer, you will play a vital role in the construction of landfill gas collection systems and other environmental pollution control initiatives. You will be responsible for assisting project managers, superintendents, and senior technicians on-site.

Your Contributions Will Include:

  • Assisting project staff with hand excavations using shovels or picks.
  • Supporting equipment operators during excavations and pipe installations by clearing earth and debris that heavy machinery cannot handle.
  • Operating fusion equipment under supervision to assist in pipe fusion, ensuring the area is clear for the process.
  • Driving dump trucks for the removal of waste from excavation sites and gas well drilling operations.
  • Preparing areas for drilling by clearing debris and assisting in the installation of piping within drilled gas well holes.
  • Installing metal stakes and retaining materials to secure piping on sloped surfaces.
  • Entering excavations and confined spaces to install gas system piping and leachate systems.
  • Conducting repairs on leachate and condensate lines as needed.
  • Utilizing power saws and drills to connect and cut piping and wellheads.
  • Maintaining LFG gas system liquid pumps and sumps.
