The Connections & Community Lead at Squarespace will be a pivotal force in driving initiatives that foster community and connections, significantly enhancing the employee experience. Reporting to the Manager of Workplace Experience, this role offers a unique opportunity for all Squarespace employees to network, connect, and share their diverse cultures and experiences. Collaborating with the internal People team, you will design and implement programs that cultivate an inclusive and welcoming workplace environment for Squarespace employees globally.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing and enhancing existing Inclusion programs, while partnering with and managing the activities of Squarespace’s seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). You will serve as a strategic advisor, empowering ERG Chairs to cultivate sustainable, high-trust global community ecosystems.
  • Designing and facilitating a productive two-way communication process between ERGs and the People Team, effectively relaying employee insights and actionable recommendations back to the community.
  • Creating and implementing streamlined processes, tools, and templates to alleviate administrative burdens on ERG chairs, enabling them to focus on community leadership.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of documentation for the inclusion team across internal systems, presentations, and communication channels to guarantee information is reliable and accessible.
  • Managing the Inclusion budget comprehensively, including coordinating with Finance for monthly reporting and overseeing procurement processes to ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Defining and tracking success metrics for ERGs focused on belonging, connection quality, new member integration, and Chair sustainability, translating insights into actionable recommendations to enhance community health and program impact.
  • Collaborating with the People team to ensure inclusion principles are integral to all initiatives, including curating resource libraries for our ERGs to share with their members.
  • Leading the coordination of the company’s sustainability initiatives and reporting, encompassing cross-functional data collection, annual audits, vendor partnerships for sustainability reports, and ensuring compliance with state regulations for required disclosures.
  • Acting as the primary liaison for our employee donation-matching tool, Bright Funds.
  • Staying abreast of the latest trends and best practices in Inclusion, bringing innovative ideas to the organization.
