Internship Overview
The Communications and DSP Engineering Intern position for Fall 2026 is a 12-week program based in San Francisco. This internship is intended for students currently enrolled in a four-year university. Interns work on real projects from the start, contributing to both hardware and software used in Astranis satellite missions. Many previous interns have gone on to join the company full-time after their internships.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement signal processing algorithms for custom software-defined radio hardware, including tasks like channelization, equalization, and gain control.
- Work closely with FPGA developers to integrate and test signal processing functions on radio hardware.
- Model end-to-end radio systems to support communication between Earth and space.
- Perform radio architecture trade studies, optimize system performance, and manage link budgets for a range of global applications.
