Key Responsibilities:Work with diverse HVAC units, including split package, residential, light commercial, mini-splits, VAVs, and AHUs. Utilize a multi-meter for voltage checks. Perform brazing tasks using a torch. Prepare work orders and estimate material costs. Assist in training lower-level technicians in mechanical repair techniques. Essential Skills:Ability to work independently and take initiative. Proficient in reading schematic diagrams. Comprehensive understanding of the refrigeration cycle and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Commitment to workplace safety, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of commercial HVAC systems. EPA Type II Refrigeration License. Completion of an HVAC course or equivalent training. Ability to carry a duty phone. Valid driver’s license compliant with the REAL ID Act, or willingness to obtain one. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Reliable and consistent attendance. Must be a U. S. citizen or have the ability to obtain citizenship.

EMI Services, a subsidiary of TechFlow, is hiring a Commercial HVAC Technician I for the U. S. Army Base at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina. This position focuses on maintaining and servicing commercial HVAC systems across the base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose, test, and repair system malfunctions.

  • Work with a variety of commercial HVAC systems and components.

Requirements

  • Experience diagnosing and correcting issues in commercial systems.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Ability to perform repairs and maintenance across different HVAC equipment.
