Ready to Explore What's Possible?Here’s the Expertise We Seek:A degree (or Masters) in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Marine Science, Oceanography, or a related field. Progressing towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., IMarEST or CIWEM). Some experience with Coastal, Ports, or Water projects (from industry or academia), along with developing technical skills. Familiarity or experience with one or more of the following:Model development and application using MIKE by DHI and/or Delft3D software. Metocean data analysis with MATLAB/Python. Near-field mixing studies using CORMIX. Joint probability methods (following EA/Defra guidelines). Multivariate analysis. Overtopping assessments (utilizing the EurOtop Manual). Beach design techniques (using XBeach, Shingle-B). You should also be self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Our Water division is seeking a motivated Coastal Modeller to join our vibrant and expanding Water Business Line. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant, impactful projects throughout the UK and beyond while working within one of the UK’s most ambitious engineering hubs.

In this role, you will be essential in developing resilient solutions that benefit communities, infrastructure, and the environment. Each day brings new challenges, offering you the opportunity to innovate and collaborate with a diverse team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct modelling studies for various projects, from feasibility assessments to detailed design.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective delivery of modelling studies.
  • Assist in the development, setup, and implementation of numerical models.
  • Support senior team members in project execution, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure project tasks meet budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical reports and project documentation.

 

  • Engage with internal teams and assist in client and stakeholder communication as needed.
