Experience with on-control programming. Solid understanding of manufacturing systems and relevant software tools.

Role Overview

As a CNC Machinist specializing in metallic turning at McLaren Racing, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to manufacturing precision-engineered components that are crucial for our on-track success. Throughout the build season, you will operate and set up multi-axis CNC machines to fabricate intricate parts utilized in our racing vehicles, heritage models, and pit equipment. Your expertise will be instrumental in the exhilarating task of developing new race cars and contributing to McLaren's storied legacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce precision-machined components according to engineering specifications and job pack guidelines while adhering to project timelines.

  • Set up and operate multiple multi-axis CNC machines across various control systems.

  • Confidently program parts online, either fully or partially.

  • Maintain tooling, inspection, and programming documentation accurately.

  • Provide insightful technical feedback to Senior Programmers and Manufacturing Engineers to optimize machining processes.

  • Collaborate with Shift Leads to manage workflow efficiently, enhancing output without sacrificing quality.

  • Conduct inspections to ensure components meet Right First Time (RFT) quality standards and keep comprehensive shift-handover records.
