Join our dynamic State and Local Platforms and Data Managed Services team as a Cloud Architect. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing innovative cloud solutions tailored for a wide range of clients. Your expertise will ensure that our cloud infrastructures are secure, scalable, and resilient, all while optimizing for compliance and client satisfaction. This position involves managing multiple projects across various organizations, adhering to stringent SLAs, and may require occasional travel to client sites. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Columbia, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and optimize cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or hybrid) for multiple clients, adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable, cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native application design across various client accounts.
• Lead client onboarding and migration projects with a focus on minimal disruption and strict adherence to security and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and manage cloud environments proactively, utilizing monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues promptly under contractual SLAs.
• Partner with our Network Operations Center (NOC) and Service Desk to address incidents, troubleshoot cloud-related problems, and manage escalations.
• Develop and maintain standardized Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates, deployment pipelines, and automation scripts to streamline client processes.
• Stay informed on the latest cloud offerings and security best practices, advising clients on strategic improvements and modernization initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for client environments, including architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in pre-sales activities, such as technical scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development.
