About the job
About the Role
The Cloud Architect serves as a pivotal technical authority, adept at translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and cost-effective architectures utilizing AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Collaborating closely with sales, delivery, and customer engineering teams, you will take ownership of solution design, lead technical governance, and steer implementation following best practices in automation (IaC, CI/CD, DevSecOps) and modern architectural patterns (containers, event-driven, serverless, and AI platforms). Your primary objective will be to migrate, modernize, and optimize workloads across these platforms, ensuring they meet stringent performance, security, and cost-efficiency benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud architectures encompassing security, data management, applications, and operational processes.
- Define multi-account/subscription landing zones, including IAM configurations, network segmentation, encryption protocols, and policy-as-code standards.
- Establish reusable reference implementations for diverse engagements.
- Promote shift-left security and financial operations (FinOps) practices.
- Mentor engineers throughout the build and migration processes, addressing complex issues across infrastructure, applications, and data layers.
- Act as an escalation point during go-live phases and hyper-care support.
- Assist pursuit teams by providing detailed solution diagrams.
- Deliver technical vision presentations to C-suite executives and enterprise architects.
- Contribute to thought leadership through blog posts, white papers, and internal knowledge articles.
Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of experience in engineering solutions on at least one cloud service provider (CSP) such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and FinOps principles.
- Experience in architecting data platforms and integrating AI/ML services.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, capable of justifying architectural decisions to both executives and technical teams.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures, event-driven patterns, and edge/IoT solutions.
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are required (multiple certifications preferred).
