Your Role
As a Clinical Psychologist at GuideStar Eldercare, you will play a pivotal role in delivering neuro-behavioral health services to residents within long-term care facilities. By employing a multi-disciplinary approach, you will collaborate with specialized clinicians to provide comprehensive and continuous care for elderly patients suffering from neurocognitive disorders, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, along with other neurological and psychiatric conditions.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations
- Establish accurate diagnoses, distinguishing between conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Vascular dementia
- Perform cognitive assessments
- Deliver condition-specific therapeutic support or insight-based therapy as required
- Coordinate care plans with facility staff, primary care providers, and GuideStar colleagues, while engaging families as necessary
Your Qualifications
You must hold an active state Psychologist license, possess a strong passion for working with the geriatric population, and demonstrate a keen interest in neurobehavioral science.
