ThoughtWorks is growing its Go-To-Market team in the Retail, Consumer, Travel, and Transportation (RCTT) sector, with a focus on the Retail industry across the UK and Ireland. This London-based role centers on leading digital transformation initiatives for clients in the retail space.

Role overview

The Client Partner will take charge of a significant portfolio within the Retail domain. This includes developing and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the successful delivery of core services such as Customer Experience, Product Innovation, Enterprise Platform Modernization, Data Modernization, AI Readiness, Engineering Excellence, and Digital Application and Maintenance Operations (DAMO).

What you will do

  • Oversee the full sales cycle, from lead generation through contract negotiation and closure
  • Manage client relationships and drive strategic account planning
  • Collaborate with account teams and RCTT specialists to secure new accounts and expand existing ones
  • Lead joint delivery governance and project evaluations

Key responsibilities

  • Understand the retail industry landscape and client challenges to define shared value
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans and go-to-market strategies
  • Build and nurture high-level relationships with clients
  • Meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets
  • Work closely with the account leadership team, including the account tech director and delivery director
  • Contribute to refining go-to-market strategies for both individual accounts and the broader RCTT sector
  • Report on account activities and opportunity status to RCTT leadership
