Role Overview
The Clearing Associate (Weekend Support) joins the global Clearing team, which ensures smooth trading operations and sound risk management across global venues and clearing firms. This team works closely with risk analysts, engineers, and technical support to strengthen bilateral trading capabilities. The role offers exposure to the complexities of global trading across a range of products.
This position is key to the Operations function, supporting the efficient flow of trading activities and managing risk for trading teams. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, analytical thinking, and reliability, especially in supporting weekend trading.
What You Will Do
- Carry out daily clearing tasks such as trade capture, lifecycle management, reconciliation, and resolving breaks across multiple venues and products.
- Oversee real-time risk operations by monitoring trading activity, evaluating risk requests from trading teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring trading and risk systems function smoothly in coordination with brokers, exchanges, and internal teams.
- Work directly with trading teams, clearing brokers, exchanges, and stakeholders in Technology, Finance, and Operations to support effective operations.
- Spot opportunities to improve processes and optimize workflows.
Work Schedule Details
This role follows a 4-day workweek that includes one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Initial onboarding takes place during a standard Monday–Friday week, after which the schedule shifts to Wednesday–Saturday. Flexibility and reliability are essential for weekend support.
