Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field. A valid California Professional Engineer (P. E.) license is mandatory. A minimum of 10 years of experience managing transportation infrastructure projects, including design and project management of roadway, transit, or similar civil projects. In-depth knowledge of transportation design principles, including roadway geometry, traffic control, grading, and utility coordination. Demonstrated ability to lead planning studies and infrastructure projects from initial concept to final completion. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders. Proven track record in building client relationships and strategically positioning for project opportunities. An entrepreneurial spirit to pursue new transportation projects and establish a strong local presence, with the potential for team leadership. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years in civil engineering and a valid California Professional Engineering (P. E.) license. This individual will lead transportation infrastructure projects in the Northern Bay Area. Ideal candidates are those who excel in client-facing roles, enjoy mentoring teams, and are dedicated to providing impactful transportation solutions. As a key player, you will collaborate with various BKF teams to ensure successful project delivery, enhance client relationships, and strengthen our transportation footprint in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design and management of transportation infrastructure projects including roadway enhancements, traffic studies, and rehabilitation efforts.
  • Manage permitting processes, technical studies, and maintain effective client communications to guarantee seamless project execution.
  • Utilize internal resources and cultivate a local network to facilitate scalable project delivery.
  • Promote quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in all transportation engineering endeavors.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff, showcasing leadership potential to develop a strong local team.
  • Advocate for BKF’s comprehensive range of services and actively cross-sell to regional clients.
  • Enhance visibility in the North Bay through the cultivation of robust relationships with clients and business partners.
