Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. PE or SE license in Chicago.1 to 3+ years of experience as a Civil or Structural Engineer. Proficient in contemporary building codes and industry standards. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, along with strong interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel and conduct site inspections. Motivated to learn more about Forensic Engineering and grow with us. Valid Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications:Background in engineering design or construction. Experience with damage assessments and forensic investigations. Familiarity with building envelope evaluations.

Join our dynamic Forensic Architecture & Engineering team as a Junior to Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer (PE or SE) to support a diverse range of clients across the United States. Our team of professionals engages in forensic investigations, provides expert consulting, prepares and presents technical documentation, and acts as expert witnesses. We specialize in various sectors such as residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, including roofing, fenestration, foundations, and building envelopes. Our work also encompasses hazard assessments, damage evaluations, and identifying design and construction defects. This position involves regular travel for fieldwork, including local and regional assignments, with occasional national travel to project sites. We encourage active participation in professional associations and societies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform field observations, testing, and data collection.
  • Draft detailed reports that present observations, testing results, research findings, and recommendations.
  • Identify suitable repair methods in accordance with local jurisdictional standards.
