Meraki Integrated Contracting is hiring a Civil QA/QC Engineer based in Dubai. This role centers on construction and structural engineering projects, with a direct reporting line to the Assistant GM-Technical. The main objective is to uphold quality standards across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Oversight: Audit, monitor, and inspect construction activities. Prepare weekly and monthly quality performance reports. Evaluate site operations and recommend corrective actions to meet project and quality management requirements.
- Documentation and Systems: Develop, implement, and update Project Quality Management System documents, such as the Quality Manual, Project Quality Plan (PQP), QA/QC policies, method statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and activity checklists. Oversee amendments and revisions as necessary.
- Technical Review: Review shop drawings and material submittals. Prepare and assess quality procedures and observations. Ensure vendor documentation aligns with contractor quality standards.
- Inspection and Testing: Coordinate inspections with consultants. Prepare and maintain Work Inspection Requests (WIR), Material Inspection Reports (MIR), and Concrete Pour Cards. Manage certificates of compliance and test reports, and liaise with third-party labs for cube test results.
- Audit and Compliance: Manage internal and external audits. Document and investigate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closure. Monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and propose improvements.
- Vendor and Factory Assurance: Conduct factory visits to verify material quality during production. Confirm that contractors and vendors meet established quality standards.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with subcontractors, Civil and MEP teams, consultants, and clients. Schedule and participate in quality management meetings. Report QA/QC activities to the Project Manager.
- Process Improvement: Identify ways to enhance construction quality and site efficiency. Develop new quality control methods to reduce rework and material waste. Introduce digital tools and data-driven reporting for improved monitoring. Suggest value engineering ideas that maintain quality standards.
