Join LaBella Associates as a Civil and Transportation Project Manager, where you will lead initiatives in both public and private sectors across Central and Southern Tier New York. Your expertise will help enhance and promote our civil and transportation brand beyond our core geography, while seamlessly collaborating with teams in other LaBella offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue market opportunities, focusing on targeted clients and teaming partners.
- Build and sustain relationships with key municipal clients.
- Engage in business planning with Discipline and Regional Leaders.
- Represent LaBella at business development events and organizations.
- Lead proposal preparations and authorship.
- Expand placemaking opportunities and educate on the benefits of these services.
Management:
- Collaborate with the Civil Team and Discipline Leaders to manage workflows and project directions.
- Conduct regular check-ins with the Civil Discipline Leader.
- Monitor project schedules, financial targets, and resource allocation.
- Work closely with the transportation department on key projects to enhance labor distribution for transportation-specific work, focusing on trails and active transportation initiatives.
- Provide technical insights on transportation planning for various projects.
- Identify and leverage existing relationships in the Northeast to uncover new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with landscape architecture disciplines to deliver key projects.
- Mentor and coach junior staff, fostering a talent pipeline for production-level hires.
Technical / Production:
- Act as project manager for municipal and recreational space projects.
- Serve as the technical lead in placemaking and transportation projects at both local and regional levels.
- Facilitate the integration of civil, transportation, and placemaking services with environmental and architectural disciplines.
- Support civil engineers, landscape architects, and planners in other offices on a project-by-project basis.
- Present projects for municipal land approvals.
- Maintain target utilization goals set by the Discipline Leader, with a focus on expanding our brand and acquiring new clients.
