Qualifications:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience. Professional registration (P. E., L. S., etc.) in one or more states where Timmons Group operates is preferred.8 to 10 years of experience in roadway design, traffic, and transportation engineering, particularly with local Departments of Transportation (DOTs). Strong understanding of project accounting with demonstrated capability to manage schedules and budgets for multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in marketing and supervising technical work. Proficient in technical and office support software necessary for the role. Professional demeanor towards clients and team members. Effective communication skills for daily task completion. A commitment to fostering professional relationships and assisting team members in meeting critical deadlines. A valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle are required.

Timmons Group is actively searching for a talented Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager - Transportation Design Group to become an integral part of our esteemed Transportation Design Group in our Charlottesville, VA office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful management of assigned projects while cultivating strong relationships with clients.
  • Engage in marketing and business development, ensuring technical excellence, profitability, project scheduling, coordination of project staff, effective client communication, negotiation of scopes and fees, and assisting with fee collection as needed.
  • Maintain exceptional relationships with clients and promote Timmons Group services beyond your direct expertise, ensuring ongoing communication with the Office Manager and Transportation Group Leader.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple mid-sized projects or a single larger project concurrently.
