Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer for our Dallas or Fort Worth office to oversee and contribute to a variety of land development projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, and more. In this role, you will leverage your engineering expertise to manage complex assignments while ensuring adherence to project goals and standards. As a licensed professional engineer, your leadership will be crucial in guiding project teams, resolving critical issues, and navigating new concepts and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive planning and design documents in the relevant engineering discipline.
  • Conduct process design calculations, prepare cost estimates, and perform economic analyses to evaluate project alternatives.
  • Assist in defining project scope, scheduling, and budget reviews while ensuring timely completion of initiation paperwork.
  • Collaborate with various Olsson teams, manage design tasks, maintain project records, and communicate progress and challenges to project managers and clients.
  • Participate in marketing and business development efforts, including proposal writing.
  • Possibly take on project management responsibilities for smaller projects.
  • Independently manage assignments on complex projects.
  • Oversee the work of junior engineers and technical staff, potentially supervising interns or technical personnel.
