Qualifications for a successful candidate include:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. At least 4 years of experience in land development engineering, encompassing public, residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects. EIT certification is preferred. Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and/or other CAD software. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach.

Timmons Group is actively seeking a driven and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer III to become a vital part of our Public Land Development team located in Raleigh, NC.

The ideal candidate will engage in site development engineering and project management for various residential, commercial, and public land development projects. Candidates are expected to have substantial experience in site civil design, permitting, and be proficient in relevant software applications such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The role encompasses a diverse range of land development site designs, emphasizing both technical expertise and effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating site layouts, grading plans, utility designs, and stormwater management systems utilizing Civil 3D and other modeling software.
  • Conducting engineering calculations and addressing practical design challenges.
  • Drafting technical specifications and comprehensive construction documents.
  • Researching and composing objective reports to aid in project execution.
  • Assisting with cost estimation and construction scheduling.
  • Facilitating field inspections and gathering necessary data.
  • Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
