Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil CAD. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience in translating engineering specifications into engineering drawings. Working knowledge of infrastructure projects, utility profiles, and cross-sections. Experience in assembling, managing, and manipulating large site surface models. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Civil Site projects, including master planning, conceptual design drawings, construction drawings, and engineering detail drawings. Familiarity with Revit. A willingness to be mentored by leadership while also providing mentorship to junior staff. Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a comprehensive outlook on project goals.

In this role, you will apply your growing technical expertise in demanding design-driven projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on Advanced Manufacturing & Logistics projects using a programmatic approach. Our Carolinas B+P teams are dedicated to delivering exceptional design services in the Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics sector, focusing on projects such as logistics centers and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both routine and non-routine drafting assignments utilizing computer-aided design and drafting equipment, as well as other graphics software (e.g., CADD software) to achieve specified results and meet deadlines.

  • Provide CAD drafting and design support for infrastructure projects including ports, civil, and rail.

  • Draft and design various projects related to civil engineering, buildings, earthworks, utilities, stormwater management, rail, and roadways.

  • Digitize or trace sketches and concepts from designers using CADD software (AutoCAD).

  • Assist in the creation and modification of 3D models, renderings, and animations for promotional and proposal purposes.

  • Handle complex assignments involving multiple application platforms and sophisticated systems, including Revit software, to achieve desired results and deadlines.

  • Take ownership of moderately challenging design tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Coordinate with other technicians and related disciplines to produce high-quality design deliverables.
