By utilizing the Google Cloud Platform, we enable businesses to future-proof their strategies, enhance consumer insights, gain competitive advantages, and achieve significant operational efficiencies through transformative data programs.

The Role

We are in search of a Chief Solution Architect as the inaugural member of our pre-sales team to help define, qualify, and secure our key engagements in data, AI, and Agentic transformations. This pivotal role bridges data & AI consulting, technical advisory, and industry storytelling. You will collaborate closely with the Account Manager and technical/engineering teams to expand our most strategic accounts in sectors such as Telecommunications, Financial Services, Media, and Agencies.

Your efforts will guide our clients through a transformative journey, expanding their vision of what is achievable with data and AI, leading to extensive engagements with direct connections to the C-suite. You will conduct initial discovery sessions, outline solutions, shape Statements of Work (SOWs), and articulate datatonic’s offerings in the market.

While this role does not require people management skills, you must excel in engaging with technical and business stakeholders, quickly establishing trust and confidence, and be adept at presenting to C-suite and architectural audiences.

What You’ll Do

Pre-Sales Leadership

  • Lead early discovery efforts alongside the Sales team: identify business challenges, qualify opportunities, and convert ambiguity into structured technical narratives.

  • Employ an insight-driven approach to integrate industry best practices in data and AI, guiding clients through their strategic transformations.

  • Design data, ML, and GenAI solutions utilizing Google Cloud.

  • Oversee scoping, estimation, and drafting of Statements of Work and RFP responses in collaboration with Sales and Delivery teams.

  • Assist in RFP responses, solution evaluations, and deal strategies for opportunities exceeding £1m.

Strategic Advisory

  • Facilitate client workshops to foster understanding and alignment around strategic data initiatives.
